THE REFLECTION OF JAPANESE LEARNING OUTCOMES BY DISTANCE LEARNING DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

This study aims to determinate the effect of distance learning variations on student learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted in March 2020 until May 2020. The research subjects were students of class XI IPS A SMAN 1 Probolinggo. Data collection used observation, tests and questionnaires. Learning was done by utilizing Google form, telegram, quizzez and Youtube. The results of the questionnaire showed that most students had adequate facilities for distance learning. The results of the questionnaire and observation showed that most students have tried actively to follow distance learning, have been well literated, have tried to be discipline and have been careful in doing their work, although honesty and brave attitude of students need to be increased again. From the results of the questionnaire and observation, the shortcoming in distance learning is the problem of technical obstacles in terms of collecting / sending assignments to the teacher, problems in how to deliver information and advice from the teacher to students in spoken language that is susceptible to cause misunderstandings, problem of assignments that become a burden for students and the problem of tolerance of time needed by students to study in the distance learning system. The percentage of student learning outcomes increased from 65.71% in the first cycle, to 82.86% in the second cycle and 85.71% in the third cycle. The mean score of students increased from 83, 97 in the first cycle to 88, 71 in the second cycle and in the third cycle reached an average of 93, 42. The average acquisition category of students also increased from the moderate category to a very good category.
