The use of information and communication technology (ICT) in learning is one of the characteristics of autonomous learners. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for Japanese language e-modules to support autonomous learning at the high school level. This study used a descriptive method with the survey conducted on 35 students and ten teachers at the high school level. The results of the analysis show that most students have an interest in electronic learning materials in Japanese language learning to foster learning autonomy. On the other hand, teachers also need electronic teaching materials to support Japanese language learning. The results of the analysis of student and teacher needs for digital teaching materials will be used as a basis for developing e-modules based on online graphic design websites to support autonomous learning of Japanese at the high school level and can be a reference that can be widely used as research on the development of other electronic teaching materials.
