Accent is one of the most difficult elements in acquiring a second language. Japanese has a functional accent, so it is very important to be mastered by the
learner. There are many foreign language learning methods that have been developed and need to continue to develop more innovative learning. So that, it
must be examined first in terms of the material itself about the rules and systems contained therein. Language learning is one of the processes of language
acquisition carried out consciously, therefore an innovative assessment is needed to support language education in general. Previous research has found that Japanese accents have a system, and this can help learners to facilitate language acquisition. To prove this, this research was carried out in the form of an experiment on Japanese language learners, to see whether the Japanese accent system can help the understanding and acquisition of accents efficiently and effectively. The results showed that 60% of students can master the accent well based on the application of the accent system. The results of this study indicate that there is progress, and to improve better results, it needs to be followed up by choosing more innovative learning methods or techniques, because this research is focused on the accent system itself.
